Canada is spending heavily on defence and changing how it buys. In 2026, the government set out a new plan to build more at home and direct more contracts to Canadian companies. It created a new body, the Defence Investment Agency, to make that happen. The goal is for Canadian firms to win a much larger share of defence work over the next decade, with billions of dollars in new revenue going to small and medium-sized businesses.

He has written and won competitive bids, secured government grants, and closed Industrial and Technological Benefits (ITB) deals. He has sat on both sides of the table, as the company trying to win the work, and as the advisor helping others get there.
